    • According to The Star Online (Agriculture is a sector that is still important to Malaysia's Economy, 2013), former Agriculture and Argo-based Industry Minister Datuk Salahuddin Ayub suggested that Agricultural Science should be introduced in all primary and secondary schools. This shows that the agricultural education is weak among primary and secondary students.

The fruit agriculture also indirectly connected to tourism business as there are fruit estates which operate as tourist attractions which allows the tourists to visit the estate and purchase the fruit products and souvenirs.
